How long does setup really take?+
Minutes. AI reads your existing menu (a photo, a PDF, or your website) and pre-fills every dish, price and likely allergen. You confirm each allergen — that review is the important part — and publish. No re-typing your menu.
Who is responsible for the allergen data?+
You are — and that's the point. Allergent is the tool your kitchen uses to publish what it already knows. Nothing goes live until you confirm it, and guests are always told to flag a severe allergy with staff. It supports your process; it doesn't replace your duty of care.
How is this different from the allergen list I already keep?+
EU law only requires you to declare whether each of the 14 allergens is present. Allergent also captures what can be left out or swapped ("no croutons", "oat milk instead") — so a guest sees a dish they can actually eat, instead of walking away. That's the part nobody else structures.
